Caitlin and Ryan had a Spring wedding in Charleston, South Carolina. Their theme was desert chic and they went for navy and sand/taupe for their color scheme. They wanted to incorporate these colors into the rehearsal dinner invite as well as reflect the southern charm that South Carolina brings. To give a casual and conversation feel, I wrote their names in textured brush lettering over navy for the front of the invitation.
For the backside of the invitation, they wanted to include a map of the rehearsal dinner location (The William Aiken House), the wedding venue (The Lowndes Grove), and downtown Charleston. I painted each of these building in watercolor at 8"x10". Then, I was able to scan the designs into the computer to create a map with the three paintings.
Caitlin and Ryan were able to keep these original paintings to frame in their home as keepsakes. I love when wedding items can be re-purposed and become memories to treasure for a lifetime!
